Our non-adjustable 52mm lens did not allow both buildings to be fully captured from our position. We chose to focus on the one on the right and the smokestack, since we had a more head-on view of that building. The large crane also provided an interesting fixed reference point in the foreground. You can still see the rear third of the building on the left side. The stack was the first structure to fall. It was well tilted over by the time the buildings had just begun to crumble.

Both buildings fell pretty much simultaneously. They both started at the end farthest from me and flowed towards the middle where the stack had been.

By now the stack is completely down, and the buildings are both past their halfway points. Here, the final Hayes Homes building disappears into the growing dust cloud.

Before & After:

This is the building to our left side... ...and this is all that was left of it after the dust settled.

This is the building to our right side and the smokestack... ...and both were very well flattened afterwards. The smokestack pile was too small to be seen from here.
